  • 'MalWare' ('Malicious Software') has developed as a term to describe various security risks including viruses, spyware, adware etc and can be used to cover  a large range of mostly security problems.

What are Viruses and Worms?
  • Viruses and Worms are a form of Malware that generally self-replicates across multiple computers.  Worms are a form of virus that generally spreads across networks and message systems such as EMail.

  • SpyWare is generally software that 'spys' on your computer activities such as logging keystrokes, capturing screen images and monitoring websites visited.

What is a FireWall?
  • A FireWall acts as a barrier between your computer and a network (internet) controlling information traffic to and from your PC.  The aim of a firewall is to help protect your PC from attacks.
